Committee Biographies

Jack Keyes
Jack Keyes has worked in the local government system since 1985 and has served in Carlow, Dublin City, Offaly and Cavan, the latter as County Manager for 10 years. He holds qualifications in Engineering, accountancy, HR, management and leadership. He is currently chairing a number of bodies and boards including the National Rural Water Services Committee, National Age Friendly Initiative Network and Cavan Institute College of Further Studies. He is a recent appointee to the board of the National Library, and an Associate Lecturer in the Institute of Public Administration.

Donal Enright
Donal Enright was a Principal Officer in the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government until his recent retirement from the civil service. He served in a number of posts in the Department, and the two most recent areas of responsibility were in the Community and Local Government Divisions.

Ger (Gerry) Sheeran
Gerry Sheeran has worked as a planner in Cork, Waterford and Limerick. He has recently retired as Senior Planner in Limerick City and County Council. He is a council member, a fellow and a past president of the Irish Planning Institute
